Disastrous fire evacuation

At 3.30am the fire alarm went off, firstly beep beep then whoop whoop. We evacuated down the fire stairs from level 13. once outside there were probably around 50 guests walking around confused. There were some families too that had young children that were crying. We all sat around downstairs for around half an hour. The was no direction from staff at all during this time. There was a staff member at the desk but not once did give any direction during this time, I would assume that if she was on site that she would be the fire warden??? After about half an hour the guests started heading back up stairs to their rooms, still no direction from the staff member until I asked her what was going on and she said it was a false alarm. As we were lining up for the lift there were still guests coming down to evacuate... God forbid there be an actual fire. Does your staff member have any direction when there is a fire alarm? surely someone should be going to each floor and knocking on doors to ensure that all the guests have in fact evacuated. It wouldn't have been much of an ask to get that staff member to go out and address the guests that were all sitting outside 'Hi everyone, it appears to be a false alarm, sorry but we'll get you back inside as soon as possible.' that is all that needed to be said but nothing at all from your staff. Very disappointed, as I said god forbid there be an actual fire.

Checkout out if hours is bad. Drop key at pigeon box. Get car. Cant leave. Phone number in basement is wrong and cancelled. Cars cant exit without swipe key. Garage door doesnt open when u drive to it. No working numbers to call.

The location is excellent. Less than a 20 minute stroll to the queen street mall. It has some lovely shops and restaurants nearby. The bed is amazingly comfortable. The cityscape view is actually quite nice. The staff were so welcoming. And incredibly helpful.

Everything was great, from the moment I booked, I had fantastic communication, checkin was a breeze, the hotel is very secure having the tags to use the door and elevator. My room had a nice view, cold ac, a MASSIVE shower which is always a plus, everything to accommodate a comfortable stay. They also have food bundles you can purchase which was different and nice. My bed however was a little uncomfortable as it had a hard lump in the centre. Block out curtains did amazing for lighting and it was extremely clean!

The best thing about the hotel was the staff service. They are always ready to help us out and I would like to specially mention Gurinder, who went out of her way to help us and cater to all our needs. She handled our questions and concerns with lot of patience and her beautiful smile. This hotel is in the heart of the CBD with its prime location to the central station. This makes it very convenient for anyone to access nearby amenities.
